Global Entrepreneurship Summit
Global Entrepreneurship Summit, being our annual flagship event, is one of the biggest entrepreneurial platforms for academicians, new-age entrepreneurs, eminent business personalities, venture capitalists and the students to gather at one place and share their entrepreneurial endeavours and experiences, and to pledge to take entrepreneurship to greater scales.
Entrepreneurship Summit has been getting bigger and bigger with every edition. This year we have crossed boundaries with international events and collaborations, hence we decided to rebrand this year’s E-Summit as ‘Global’ E-Summit to reflect the true global nature of participation.
GES 2010, having Cleantech as its theme, will celebrate clean technologies by holding the finals of the first ever CleanTech Challenge in India and a series of workshops focusing on cleantech. It would see a strong international fervour in terms of participation, hosting an International Conference on Entrepreneurship which would witness sharing of ideas on entrepreneurship by Heads of Entrepreneurship Promoting Organizations of various universities across the globe. The summit also promises to exhibit inspirational Guest Lectures by eminent personalities and a panel discussion by Venture Capitalists focusing on college startups.
GES 2010 also brings Startup Camp– an invaluable opportunity for promising startups of the country to raise seed capital and hire college students as a full time employee or as an intern. The Summit will also play host to the finals of Concipio, Envision, Eclairez, Negocio, Pensez, Sales Pitch and Online video contest. In addition, there will be a lot of fun On the spot events such as TGIF and Bizturkz, where some serious cut throat competition is expected.
E-summit 2009 was an immense success with participation not only from places in India but also from abroad. It saw the biggest and the far most successful edition of E- Summit with big-shot personalities like Dominique Trempont , Sramana Mitra and Sanjeev Bhikchandani (CEO of Naukri.com) delivering inspiring lectures, technology giants like Intel conducting class-apart workshops; the first-ever Start-up Fair; and the launch of Global Ventures Lab in collaboration with UC Berkeley(USA) and University of Jyvaskyla (Finland).
