Entrepreneur Summit 2006
Entrepreneurship Cell has been founded at IIT Kharagpur with the aim of encouraging entrepreneurial spirit among students as well as providing support to budding entrepreneurs in infrastructural and financial aspects. For the past several years various events have been held by E-Cell including business ideas competitions, workshops and lectures by eminent entrepreneurs. E-Cell also has various initiatives in the fields of Invention Disclosure, Patent Filing, Technology Transfer etc. , to bring the nascent technologies developed at IIT Kharagpur’s laboratories to the real industry. Continuing with the aim of increasing Corporate-Academia interaction as well as Student-Entrepreneur interaction, E-Cell organized a two day Entrepreneur Summit on the 4th and 5th of November. It comprised of various guest lectures by eminent speakers, workshops dealing with the idea aspects and market aspects of entrepreneurship, panel discussions and business idea competitions. E-Summit served as a platform for established and highly successful guests to interact with some of the brightest minds in the country from varied disciplines having different perspectives.
The goal of E-Cell is to create awareness about all stages and aspects of entrepreneurship, from “Ideation” to “Incubation”. E-Cell plans to reach out to undergraduate students, post graduate students, research scholars, faculty and budding entrepreneurs.
